Here are some key findings from the survey:

  • 85% of Americans are either unaware or simply do not care about e-waste.
  • 25% of Americans claim to recycle electronic devices.
  • 67% said that they have never owned a pre-owned cellphone.

It is also noted that e-waste accounts for over 70% of toxic waste currently present in landfills.
